Abstract

Women entrepreneurship has emerged as a significant driver of economic growth and social development in India. This study explores the challenges, motivations, and growth opportunities for women entrepreneurs in India, with a specific focus on Heritage Foods India Ltd. The study adopts a descriptive and analytical research design, relying on secondary data collected from company reports, government publications, industry journals, and academic research papers. The findings reveal that financial constraints, family responsibilities, lack of mentorship, and market competition are the primary challenges faced by women entrepreneurs. Despite these challenges, motivations such as financial independence, passion, work-life balance, and social impact drive women to pursue entrepreneurial ventures. Heritage Foods India Ltd has played a pivotal role in empowering women through its supply chain and community engagement initiatives, creating sustainable livelihood opportunities. The study highlights the growing trend of women entrepreneurship in India and identifies key growth opportunities in sectors such as food processing, e-commerce, healthcare, and education. The research provides valuable insights for policymakers, corporate leaders, and aspiring women entrepreneurs to foster an inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem.
