Abstract

Cloud computing is increasingly utilized by organizations to store vast amounts of data, including text, audio, and video. As a result, securing this data has become a critical concern. Security remains a significant barrier to the widespread adoption of cloud computing. This paper addresses the security challenges faced by cloud computing systems and proposes a solution through a quantitative security risk assessment model, the Multidimensional Mean Failure Cost (M2 FC). Initially, we identify and discuss the key security issues inherent in cloud environments. We then introduce a comprehensive framework for analyzing and evaluating these security challenges. Finally, the paper suggests appropriate countermeasures and strategies to mitigate risks, enhancing the overall security of cloud computing systems.
