Green DevSecOps is an emerging paradigm combining the principles of development, security, and operations with explicit energyefficiency goals. In the context of smart energy grids, integrating energy-aware security pipelines can reduce the carbon footprint of cybersecurity workflows while maintaining robust protection. This study uses secondary qualitative data analysis of existing academic and industry literature to explore how DevSecOps practices can be adapted for energy-aware operation in smart grids, identify enabling factors, challenges, and propose a conceptual framework. Thematic analysis yields three major themes: (1) Energy-aware security design trade-offs, (2) Middleware and orchestration optimizations with Policy and governance constraints, and (3) Monitoring and feedback loops for energy profiling. Key findings show that while energy analysis is rarely embedded into security tooling, some works propose adaptive scheduling or lowoverhead cryptography. The paper concludes with future research directions and a conceptual pipeline model for green DevSecOps in energy infrastructures.
