Abstract

Autonomous navigation in robotic vehicles requires precise obstacle detection and real-time path planning to ensure safe and efficient movement. This study introduces RoboSense, an intelligent obstacle avoidance system for robot cars powered by Raspberry Pi. The system integrates ultrasonic sensors, infrared sensors, and a Raspberry Pi processing unit to detect obstacles, calculate optimal paths, and control vehicle movement dynamically. By employing real-time data processing and adaptive navigation algorithms, RoboSense enables the robot car to avoid collisions, navigate complex environments, and maintain smooth operation. Experimental results demonstrate that the system reliably identifies obstacles, adapts to varying environments, and improves overall navigation efficiency. The findings highlight the potential of Raspberry Pi–based systems for developing costeffective, intelligent autonomous vehicles.
