Effective cash management is a critical component of corporate financial management that enables organizations to maintain adequate liquidity, optimize cash flows, control financial risks, and improve overall financial performance. In an increasingly digital and competitive business environment, organizations require systematic cash management practices to efficiently manage cash inflows and outflows, working capital, receivables, payables, and short-term financial obligations. This study examines the effectiveness and strategic importance of Cash Management Systems (CMS) in improving liquidity, operational efficiency, financial control, and organizational performance. The study focuses on key cash management practices including cash forecasting, cash budgeting, liquidity planning, receivables management, payables management, digital banking, automated payment systems, and treasury management.A descriptive research design was adopted, using both primary and secondary data. Primary data were collected through structured questionnaires, interviews, and discussions, while secondary information was obtained from books, journals, research articles, financial reports, banking reports, and other relevant sources. A sample of 100 respondents was considered, and the collected data were analyzed using percentage analysis, frequency distributions, tables, charts, and descriptive statistics. The findings indicate that effective cash management significantly contributes to improved liquidity, better working capital utilization, reduced financial risks, enhanced operational efficiency, and informed financial decisionmaking. The study further highlights the growing role of digital banking and automation in improving transaction accuracy, cash visibility, financial transparency, and control. However, challenges such as delayed receivables, cash-flow uncertainty, forecasting inaccuracies, technological integration issues, and shortage of skilled personnel remain significant barriers. The study concludes that organizations adopting integrated and technology-driven cash management systems can strengthen financial stability, reduce financing costs, optimize available funds, and support long-term sustainable business growth.
