Abstract

The increasing adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) and the rising demand for sustainable energy solutions have accelerated the development of photovoltaic (PV)-based EV charging systems. However, effective energy management remains a key challenge to ensure optimal utilization of renewable energy, minimize reliance on the grid, and reduce operational costs. This paper presents a smart energy management strategy for photovoltaic-integrated EV charging stations, focusing on maximizing solar energy utilization, optimizing charging schedules, and balancing energy flow between PV systems, battery storage, and the grid. The proposed framework enhances efficiency, reliability, and sustainability, contributing to the broader goals of green transportation and clean energy adoption
