Abstract

A huge repository of administrative effort is required to manage employee compensation, which is a critical yet highly complex function for any organization. Traditional manual payroll processing or reliance on fragmented spreadsheet systems is notoriously inefficient, highly prone to human error, and poses significant security risks to sensitive financial data. Therefore, this paper details the design and development of a secure, automated Payroll Management System aimed at modernizing and streamlining the entire salary generation lifecycle. The proposed web-based application provides a centralized, intuitive platform with role-based access control for both administrators and employees. By digitizing these financial workflows, the project successfully eliminates calculation errors, drastically reduces administrative overhead, enforces strict data security, and ensures a seamless, transparent payroll experience for the modern enterprise.
