EDGECRYPT SYNERGY: ENABLING SAFE AND EFFICIENT DATA OPERATIONS IN IOT

The rapid expansion of Internet of Things (IoT) networks has created unprecedented opportunities for smart applications, but it also raises critical challenges in secure data management. This study proposes EdgeCrypt Synergy, a framework that integrates edge computing and cloudassisted IoT architectures to enable secure, efficient, and privacy-preserving data sharing and search. By processing sensitive data at the edge and leveraging cryptographic techniques for secure storage and retrieval, the system reduces latency, preserves bandwidth, and safeguards against unauthorized access. Experimental evaluation demonstrates that the framework effectively balances security, computational efficiency, and scalability, outperforming conventional cloud-only approaches in terms of response time and data integrity. The research highlights the potential of edge-cloud synergy to empower IoT systems with secure and intelligent data operations, supporting applications in smart cities, healthcare, and industrial automation
