A Ransomware Readiness Assessment Tool is designed to evaluate an organization’s preparedness against ransomware attacks by analyzing its security posture, identifying vulnerabilities, and providing actionable recommendations. With the increasing frequency and sophistication of ransomware threats, organizations require proactive mechanisms to assess risks and strengthen their defenses. This project proposes an intelligent assessment framework that integrates cybersecurity best practices, risk evaluation models, and automated analysis techniques to measure readiness across multiple dimensions such as network security, data protection, access control, backup strategies, and incident response capabilities. The system collects inputs through structured questionnaires, system scans, and policy evaluations, and processes them using a scoring algorithm to generate a comprehensive readiness score. Additionally, machine learning techniques can be incorporated to identify patterns in vulnerabilities and predict potential attack vectors. The tool also provides real-time dashboards and visualizations to help organizations understand their risk levels and prioritize mitigation strategies. By mapping assessment results to established cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST and ISO standards, the system ensures compliance and standardization. The proposed solution enhances organizational resilience by enabling early detection of weaknesses, improving response planning, and minimizing potential damage caused by ransomware incidents. Overall, this tool serves as a cost-effective and scalable solution for strengthening cybersecurity posture and ensuring business continuity in the face of evolving cyber threats.
