Abstract

The exponential growth of digital data in the pharmaceutical sector has led to critical challenges in maintaining the privacy, security, and integrity of sensitive medical and research information. Traditional encryption methods often fail to provide efficient protection when data must be processed or analyzed in encrypted form. To address this issue, PharmaShield introduces a Homomorphic Encryption (HE)-based framework that allows secure computation directly on encrypted pharmaceutical data without decryption. This innovative approach ensures data confidentiality even when shared across untrusted environments such as cloud platforms. The proposed system facilitates secure clinical trials, patient record management, and drug formulation analytics while maintaining compliance with data protection laws like HIPAA and GDPR. Experimental evaluations demonstrate that PharmaShield maintains computational accuracy with minimal overhead, offering a scalable, privacy-preserving solution for modern pharmaceutical data ecosystems.
